Why do we need your help?

Because the needs of families with children in our country are many. Because the emotional, physical and psychological costs for children growing up under difficult conditions are enormous and can affect their present and future lives. According to data of the Greek Statistical Authority  (2017), 24.5% of children in our country (454,000 children) are at risk of poverty. The percentage is even higher for those living in single-person households and large families. In addition, a very large number of children come from families of recent immigrants and refugees with integration issues. In 2018, 2800 such children who lived in hosting structures joined local schools. Child abuse is not a  phenomenon in recession. Only one organization (Child's Smile) in 2017 received more than 1,000 calls of allegations for child abuse.

We want to be close to these children and their families, but our financial capabilities do not allow it. So  help us to reach more vulnerable families and more regions and to give children opportunities for a better future. Become a Home-Start donor! It does not matter how much you will offer.
